Beginner Kids Karate Classes Enrolling In June

It's never too early to give your child the valuable life lessons that martial arts has to offer. Kids Karate promotes health, fitness and, of course, gives kids plenty of fun!
Your child will learn to appreciate the importance of self discipline and high self-esteem. Our positive discipline techniques blend superbly with all elements of children's lives, including their schoolwork, friendships, and family. And best of all à your child will have a blast learning from our professional Kids Karate instructors!
Early Skillz (Ages 3-4)
We cover one skill per class - Kicking, Punching, Blocking, Crawling, Hopping, Rolling, Running & Catching - in that order. During each class we run a warm-up; deliver a mat chat about the skill; run two or three skill-building drills: and then we have them demonstrate the skill to earn their skill-stripe.
They must earn all 8 skill-stripes in order to graduate to the next belt level. Once they have earned their next belt they will continue to run through all 8 skills earning their skill-stripes with more challenging curriculum as the advance to each rank. They graduate the Basic SKILLz program after they have successfully completed all 9 belt ranks of the Early SKILLZ program.
Basic Skillz (Ages 5-6)
Five and six-year olds are the most enthusiastic students. They love creativity and problem solving, which makes them ideal students in the Martial Arts.
We cover one of these skills per class - Focus, Balance, Teamwork, Discipline, Control, Fitness, Memory & Coordination - in that order. During each class we run a warm-up; deliver a mat chat about the skill; run two or three skill-building drills: and then we have them demonstrate the skill to earn their skill-stripe. They must earn all 8 skill-stripes in order to graduate to the next belt level. Once they have earned their next belt they will continue to run through all 8 skills earning their skill-stripes with more challenging curriculum as the advance to each rank. They graduate the Basic SKILLz program after they have successfully completed all 9 belt ranks of the Basic SKILLZ program.
Core Skillz (Ages 7-9)
Seven to nine-year olds are what most people consider “the golden age.” They are proficient in their vocabulary and problem- solving skills, yet they are not at the age where they want complete independence from adults. This makes the teacher-student relationship stronger than ever.
We cover one of these skills per class - Agility, Intensity, Technique, Perseverance, Courage, Speed, Flexibility & Concentration - in that order. During each class we run a warm-up; deliver a mat chat about the skill; run two or three skill-building drills: and then we have them demonstrate the skill to earn their skill-stripe. They must earn all 8 skill-stripes in order to graduate to the next belt level. Once they have earned their next belt they will continue to run through all 8 skills earning their skill-stripes with more challenging curriculum as the advance to each rank. They graduate the Core SKILLZ program after they have successfully completed all 9 belt ranks of the Core SKILLZ program.
Extreme Skillz (Ages 10-14)
Ten to fourteen-year olds are the smartest students in the school. Yes, they are smarter than most adults! They are also physically competent and can excel in most physical challenges that are presented to them.
We cover one of these skills per class - Dexterity, Precision, Reaction, Instinct, Versatility, Strength, Momentum & Vision - in order. During each class we run a warm-up; deliver a mat chat about the skill; run two or three skill-building drills: and then we have them demonstrate the skill to earn their skill-stripe. They must earn all 8 skill-stripes in order to graduate to the next belt level. Once they have earned their next belt they will continue to run through all 8 skills earning their skill-stripes with more challenging curriculum as the advance to each rank. They graduate the Extreme SKILLz program after they have successfully completed all 9 belt ranks of the Extreme SKILLZ program.
